I’m a Geek

A parody of I’m A Bitch by Meredith Brooks (and not, btw, Alanis Morrisette)
Midi composer: Jay Washburn
Midi source: http://web.ukonline.co.uk/xweb.marketing/midis.htm

I hate the world today
I’d prefer living in
Middle Earth anyway
Or in the future
As captain on the bridge
Of the starship Enterprise
Or superhero in disguise
Yesterday I made believe
I was a magic-using goblin
in D&D
I can understand how you might not agree
And you might pity me
I live in a world of comic books
And shows on the TV

I’m a geek, I’m a nerd
I look dorky and absurd
I’m not cool, suave or sly
Wear suspenders and bow tie
I read java, I write code,
Live in my parent’s home
You know I wouldn’t want it any other way

I think it would be keen
To be a student
at Gryffendor or Slytherin
Rest assured that
When you see me walking down the street
Dressed up as a Klingon
You can bet I’m in full costume
And I’m going to a con!

I’m a geek, an otaku
Spitting image of Steve Urkle
I’m a Trekkie I’m a dork
Have autographs from Spock and Quark
I play LAN, killed by lag
Keep comics in their bag
You know I wouldn’t want it any other way

I know you think, all my hobbies are dumb
But sports and stuff are much lamer
These things are cool as you would know
If you were half the gamer

I’m a geek, I’m a fanboy
Immature, sort of a man-boy
Build a robot and programmed it
So it was 3 laws compliant

At Warhammer I’m the best
I worship JMS
You know I wouldn’t want it any other way

I’m a geek, but no remorse
I can speak elfish and dwarf
I can hunt, smite or defend
If I roll above a ten
I watch Star Trek and B5
I do not have a life
You know I wouldn’t want it any other way
